I am so annoyed with Spirit Airlines. I purchased tickets to fly from Aguadilla Puerto Rico to Atlantic City New Jersey about two months ago. Since then, I have received numerous emails explaining to me that my flight plans have changed. In one of the emails, it says that we are being re-routed through Detroit! Are you kidding me?
That isn’t the worst part. I can handle a little bit of a change, and if I don’t like it, I would call and change my ticket right? WRONG! Spirit Airlines makes it nearly impossible to find their telephone number on their website. I am not going to post the URL here because I DO NOT want to provide them with any inbound links, but I challenge you; go to their website and try to find their telephone number. The bad part about that is that I think they are hiding there number to save money. I can hear the excec’s now; “If we don’t put a contact number on the website, people will be forced to use the online form and we’ll save money on operators!”
Once I finally found the telephone number, it didn’t work properly! I was prompted for an English / Spanish speaking operator, and as soon I hit the corresponding number, I would get a super fast busy signal. I called back a few times to see if it was just a glitch, I even called back and didn’t hit any buttons (impersonating a rotary phone) but I was unsuccessful in my attempt to speak to a Spirit Airlines representative.
If you got here looking for Spirit Airlines customer service telephone numbers, here is how they are listed on their website once you finally find them. If you are in a hurry, it can be really aggravating trying to find their contact numbers.

I used spirit years ago to jet away to myrtle beach to play some golf… Well never again I booked a first class seat yesterday round trip for a weekend of golf my original itenerarry that I paid for stated that I would leave on a saturday at 7am ariving at 9am plenty of time for an 11am tee time leaving on monday at 8PM so I can play Sat, Sun, and Monday. Well I just got an email that my outbound flight was changed from 7am to 3pm and my return flight was changed from 8pm to 2:45 pm so basically that leaves me with one day of golf (the entire purpose of the trip) so I said ok I am going to cancel well those jerks actually charged me a 100 fee to cancel my flight even though they breached the contract they would not refund the 100 even though I booked the damn flight yesterday. I think I am going to get my lawyers involved on principle alone this is the worst company I have ever worked with never ever ever will I fly with them again! They are stealing from the public at the very least I am going to report them to the department of consumer affairs.

Thanks good of you to post the number they specialize in evasiveness. i look forward to not having to use the cheapest way possible as i commute both weekly and monthly and it really gets expensive

I was in a situation where I was unable to use the Spirit 800 number. I tried your 954 numbers and the 954 628 4895 got me to reservations in India. You saved my day. Thanks so very much.

Ironically, experiencing this same frustration right now. These guys are horrible. I just want my money back. I’ll happily pay more to some other airline with actual customer first attitude.

I myself have such an issue with spirit and they are getting from bad to worst, am thinking I myself should get a lawyer, perhaps we can do a class action against them..I was suppose to travel to DC on Friday May 10th, and I got a sudden called like 3am on the 8th that my brother passed away suddenly, so I couldn’t make the trip to the graduation..Although I furnish all the paper work to them and called until now I haven’t gotten a refund on my money. Am still upset about it, and like James said its the principle..we all need to take them to the media, consumer affairs and most of all sue them,,its the principle..

I made reservations for nonstop flights from Chicago (depart at 12:40p) to Ft. Myers and Ft. Myers (depart at 3:50p) to Chicago in November 2010 and Spirit decided to arbitrarily change the outbound flight to 6:40a with one stop and the return to 12:40p with one stop. I would not have booked those flights and WILL NEVER FLY SPIRIT AGAIN. The planes were filthy and there was no running water in one bathroom and I heard the other bathroom toilet was stopped up. I am writing to every agency I know to let them know how Spirit treats their customers. We were treated like cattle . . . . never again.
Couldn’t even open the calendar to check flight dates because of a fucking ad they have running. Booking on another airline.
Our flight out of O’Hare was cacelled tonight August 2 .Due to mechanical problems .They said there earlyist flight was Auguest 4th . We found 5 other airlines that could of left the next day . Sprit would noT help us out . Now me and soon to be X wife have lost our vacation time at work .Have lost our time and money parking , hotel .Sprit Airlines Me my wife and two sons have two words for you and its not . LETS DANCE

I have been trying to renew the $9 club it’s almost inpossible.
then when you call overseas LOL everyone says they can’t do it. When I tyell them none of the computers I have tryed can’t do it they just say they are sorry. Dammm

i am a $9 fare member. i am canadian, living in ontario canada. i recently returned from a trip to ft. lauderdale.
everything was excellent.
the reason for this e-mail is two-fold
1. credit card promotion is american only?
2. few destinations out of niagara falls new york.
I found out about spirit airlines by word of mouth, almost by accident.
There are a lot of people(about 10 mill)
just north of the border in canada.
I would think you would promote yourselves up here because there is a huge untapped market. Maybe more people flying, you could have more destinations.
More people flying you could promote your credit card to Canadians.
the bottom line is, i am contemplating not renewing my membership because of the limited destinations.
also your “where we fly” window is impossible to read, you don’t even list Niagara falls, new york, how am i suppose to read it.
pls. help, i am on your side!
