I remember that as the game that had a steering wheel (that you could spin thousands of times in the same direction), a high low gear shifter and a gas pedal on the floor? I don’t remember just buttons…perhaps the arcade I grew up next to had the best of the best ;-)

The plan of the track gets me all nostagic for an ancient Sinclair Spectrum game called Supersprint.

I think it had just 3 keys: left, right and go!
