Republicans vs. Democrats

I am clearly a democrat by the business I am in. I feel that someone needs to defend people that aren’t able to stand up to the big Corporations that would run them over all day long if given the opportunity. The same corporations that George W. Bush supports and regularly attempts to change laws to help.

With George W. Bush’s approval ratings dropping because of the problems our troops are having in Iraq (our brave young men and women being killed over misinformation on GWB’s behalf that started a war)his grand circus completely failing in his federal response to Hurricane Katrina wide spread destruction and now the Vice President blaming his top aide for the CIA.

I hope the same republican support that somehow got this ,idiot of a president into office will completely abandon him and let him sink to the bottom of the sharky political river running through Washington DC.

Washington DC, the charm of the North with the efficiency of the South.

Discounted Airfare to France

This is pretty funny: I just got an email from an airline advertising discounted airfare to Paris. Hmmmmm, I wonder why it is so cheap?

5 Nights in Paris out of Los Angeles (LAX) for only $579.00!

I wonder if it could be because of todays headlines?

France Declares 12-Day State of Emergency to Curb Crisis
Rioters have sown disorder in the streets, burning cars, targeting businesses, schools and churches and police.

Could be….

San Diego Mayoral Race

So here we have it. Politics. Specifically, the San Diego Mayoral Race.

There are two candidates here: Donna Frye and Jerry Sanders. For the past year we, San Diegans, have been dealing with litigation, mud slinging and an interim mayor that has stepped down from his position. San Diego has no leadership. I don’t know much about the financial situation in other cities but San Diego is in bad shape. How is that? We have one of the most expensive housing markets in the USA ($565,000 median home value) generating millions in property taxes, our gasoline, much like everywhere else in the U.S. is taxed out the wazoo and I pay two bucks for a water at the 7-11. We have a Pension Fund scandal that could potentially send people to jail and has already caused numerous people to loose their jobs and our Real Estate bubble is about to burst.

What do these candidates really have to offer? Who can save San Diego California? Is it you?

Maybe we just need to get a movie star like Arnold Schwartzenager to run for Mayor, he’ll definitely win. He may even become the governor of California one day.

Mexico Car Accident Victim

I came home from work the other night to my little cottage in La Jolla and the picture I posted below was stuck in my front door. My first thought was that I am about to become a victim of fraud. Check out the pictures below.

I read this over a couple of times. I can only guess that some surfer from San Diego must have been in Mexico surfing and got in a car wreck with this guy in the neck brace. He obviously gave him the wrong cell phone number and fake auto insurance information. He must have randomly given him my home address. I am thinking some sort of hybrid between his house number and the first street that came to mind. If he surfs Wind N Sea much, he has driven down my street many times for a surf check.

Really though, why did this guy drop off a picture of him in a neck brace? No one is going to call him back, whoever did this is definitely thinking this Mexico car accident victim is trying to milk him for some cash. He should have dropped off a picture of some homemade churros or dulces.

Crazy people out there…I figure even if this guy comes around looking for the surfer that crashed into him, he’ll see I am not him.
